We like to think of The Social Eatery & Bar as the heart of our estate; a place where Knysna Hollow guests and Knysna locals can come together to enjoy wonderful food, ice-cold craft beer and award-winning South African wines.

With spring in the air and summer fast approaching, the changing weather called for a change of menu. Here on the Garden Route, we are so fortunate to enjoy varied, top-tier local produce, and this inspires our culinary team to keep introducing new delights to the eatery’s offerings.

In summer, it’s all about the feeling.

As one of the best restaurants in Knysna, we pride ourselves on offering guests and visitors alike an authentic and approachable dining experience, elevated by our beautiful finishings and spacious interior.

Choose to dine on our sunny deck overlooking the lawns, inside in the cool expanse of our restaurant, in The Social Bar – where the craft beers on tap are always cold – or poolside, as per the season! We serve healthy, hearty breakfasts, café-style lunches, easy bar eats and generous dinners, depending on the time of your visit.

Smoked Salmon Salad

Summer days and the holiday season are a time to unwind, relax and indulge in a few of life’s pleasures. Being based on the Garden Route, to us, that includes a glass of wine and a beautiful view to round off the day.

We have a glass wine cellar on site, stocked with a small, but carefully curated selection of South African wines, chosen for their rarity and uniqueness. We encourage all guests to find a spot in The Social Bar’s outdoor lounge or on the deck and to sample a few of our wonderful wines.
