The entire Garden Route is brimming with fantastic trails ready to be trekked. Two of the most popular spots are Tsitsikamma Mountain Trail and the Otter Trail – both long distance hikes. If you’re looking for a shorter distance, try the Giant Kingfisher Trail or a meander through the Knysna Forest.
8. Enjoy Local Festivals and Events
One of the most popular events throughout the year is undoubtedly the Knysna Oyster Festival in June. If you’re lucky enough to attend, make sure you try some of the area’s famous oysters at 34 Degrees South or Freshline Fisheries.
