Thanks to Valentine’s Day, February is known the world over as the ‘Month of Love.’

Love has many forms and we believe that all are worth celebrating. Bring your special someone, or even a beloved family member, to Social Eatery & Bar on Wednesday 14 February 2024 for a beautifully-curated 3-course dinner to mark the occasion.

As you arrive, you will be presented with a sparkling glass of bubbles to lull you into the ambiance of the evening.

Before long, you’ll start your culinary journey with a Valentine’s Snack Platter for 2.

Whet your appetite with smoked snoek patté, creamed feta with herb and pine nut salsa and sundried tomato and green olive tapenade served with toasted ciabatta to scoop up these delicious accompaniments.

Did you know? Thanks to the natural bounty of Knysna and its surrounds, our Executive Chef, Grant Ludski, likes to ensure that as many ingredients as possible are sourced locally. So, with every mouthful, you know that you are tasting the authentic produce of South Africa.

For mains, you have a choice between Indonesian Chicken Curry or Grilled Linefish.

The flavourful curry is well-suited to summer, incorporating beautiful spices like tamarind, lemongrass and coconut milk. It comes served on a bed of perfectly cooked jasmine rice and is accompanied by fresh sambals and crispy poppadoms.

The light, flaky linefish is served with herbed new potato salad and green goddess sauce, topped with sumac and sundried tomato and olive salsa.

No dessert beats a perfectly plated Berry Pavlova, our ultimate summertime crowd-pleaser!

Enjoy fresh summer berries on a bed of freshly whipped cream and meringue, lightly drizzled with orange oil.

We have a fully-stocked wine cellar filled with award-winning vintages from unique local and international vineyards. Ask your waiter to help you select the perfect bottle of wine to accompany your romantic evening!
