Padel, a fast-paced and exciting racquet sport, has been taking South Africa by storm in recent years, and Knysna Hollow Country Estate is the venue of the first Padel Sports Facility in and around Knysna. The property boasts two state-of-the-art Padel courts on the grounds which can be booked by hotel guests and members of the public alike.

This is a full-service offering including equipment hire, a pro-shop and a grab ‘n go refreshment station from our Social Eatery Restaurant. Floodlights allow play to take place after dark and a full-back-up power system ensures the lights never go out at a crucial point in the game!

But what exactly is Padel, you may ask? One of the fastest-growing sports in the world, it is an adapted form of tennis & squash played in doubles on an astroturf court with glass walls one-third the size of a tennis court. The scoring system is similar to tennis, but the courts are enclosed and gameplay allows for the ball to be played off them. Padel can be enjoyed by all ages and skill levels, so there’s no excuse not to give it a try.
